Late comeback, rebounding not enough to hold off Bowling Green

Ball State cut its 20-point deficit to three, but the Falcons ultimately held the Cardinals off with free throws, defeating them 77-71. Most teams may throw up the white flag down 20 points in the final minutes, but Coleman said he knows the team will keep fighting until the end.

4 takeaways from Ball State's regular-season sweep of Buffalo

The defense has been the story for the Cardinals this season, and Saturday was no different. The second matchup against the Bulls proved to be quite similar to the first one. The defense was a great point of emphasis for Ball State, and it executed like it has all year and came out on top.

Senior outside attacker Blake Reardon’s effort in the third and fourth sets Saturday was not enough to get the job done for Ball State Men’s Volleyball. Dropping their first match at Worthen Arena this season, the Cardinals’ five-match win streak came to an end against No. 6 Lewis in a 3-1 loss.

Jenness leads Ball State in comeback win over McKendree

Public-address announcer Steve Shondell continuously used his nickname of sophomore outside attacker Kaleb Jenness Thursday night in Worthen Arena. With a team-leading 21 kills, Jenness led Ball State Men’s Volleyball to a 3-1 victory over McKendree in its Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association opener.

Mixed results lead Ball State to 6th in Earl Yestingsmeier Match Play

Luck was not on the Cardinals’ side at the ninth-annual Earl Yestingsmeier Match Play in Dade City, Florida. Despite entering the tournament as the No. 1 seed, Ball State placed sixth out of eight teams at the invitational after splitting both its matches Monday, followed by a loss to fellow Mid-American Conference rival Bowling Green in the fifth-place match Tuesday.

Benson’s rebounding performance secures win for Ball State

Finding a rhythm on offense was not the Cardinals’ forte Saturday, but their defensive effort made up for their offensive struggles. Ball State Women’s Basketball turned to a physical defensive presence to overcome an early deficit and defeat Akron 60-52.
