Ball State lose final home game of the season

 Ball State Men’s Basketball  had five turnovers and missed its first seven shots in the first five minutes of its 79-60 loss to Akron. Out of a timeout, it took another two minutes for Ball State to score thanks to a slam dunk by junior guard Demarius Jacobs. They were still down just 6-2. 


Ball State loses to Central Michigan in overtime

 In overtime, Central Michigan scored the first six points before Sellers made a layup with 45 seconds to keep Ball State’s hopes alive. They got a steal in the backcourt and freshman center Payton Sparks made a layup to cut the Cardinals’ deficit to 86-84. Ultimately, in the final seconds, Central Michigan was able to make its final free throws and win 89-85.  


Ball State snaps Toledo's 9 game winning streak

 Junior guard Demarius Jacobs set the tone for what would become a 3-point shooting barrage the rest of the game in Ball State Men’s Basketball’s 93-83 win over Toledo, as he made a 3-pointer in the corner on the first possession.  


Miryne Thomas, Payton Sparks lead Ball State passed Miami (Ohio)

 A few plays later, he dives to the ground for a loose ball, and while Ball State didn’t get the ball, it showcased what Thomas and Ball State Men’s Basketball were doing all game in their 81-64 win over the Redhawks: diving for loose balls and rebounding the ball. 


3 takeaways from Ball State's loss to Toledo

 Ball State Men's Basketball traveled to Toledo and lost 83-70 for its third consecutive loss against Mid-American Conference opponents. The young Cardinals have been tested early on in conference play, as they have gone against three top teams in the MAC.
