MUNCIE, Ind. (NewsLink) – The Ball State Counseling Center began accepting calls for a new service called "Let’s Talk" today.

Let’s Talk is intended to let Ball State students speak with a counselor for 20 minutes about a particular issue, such as test anxiety or conflicts with a roommate.

Timothy Hess, the assistant director of clinical services, said the program does not replace regular counseling sessions.

“We wanted something for students who may not necessarily have a mental health diagnosis or concern, but would still love to chat,” he said.

Let’s Talk is a part of the Counseling Center’s goal to reach more Ball State students, which includes their application of the WellTrack app, mental health workshops and group therapy sessions.

If a student thinks they will benefit from regular counseling sessions while using Let’s Talk, they may call the Counseling Center for further information.
