MUNCIE, Ind. (NewsLink) -- Ball State University will have a vaccination site open on campus in less than two weeks.

According to Indiana Public Radio, the Health Professions Building will be open for people to get vaccines beginning March 17.

The site will be open on Wednesdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for people to get their shots.

To get vaccinated, you must meet the state's guidelines.

In an interview Friday morning on IPR, Ball State President Geoffrey Mearns said he's excited this could be an opportunity for people on campus."

"Our faculty and staff will be participating in administering the vaccine, and we are also, under the supervision of the county and the state, training our nursing students," said Mearns.

The project will be in partnership with the Delaware County Health Department, according to Mearns.
