'Peyton's Places' episode filmed at Ball State to air Jan. 3

Ball State President Geoffrey Mearns announced in a campus-wide email Jan. 2, 2021 that the episode of the "Peyton's Places" documentary series filmed on Ball State's campus in October 2020 will air on ESPN+ Jan. 3, 2021.

On Oct. 20, 2020, Ball State Alumnus David Letterman and former Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning filmed scenes for the episode near Frog Baby and at Scheumann Stadium.

Mearns said in the email he will host a virtual watch party for the campus community on Jan. 15 with Athletic Director Beth Goetz and Head Football Coach Mike Neu, in collaboration with ESPN. Details on how to join the watch party will be announced on Ball State's social media accounts.
