MUNCIE, Ind. (NewsLink)-- With no football being played, the MAC has decided to hold a Madden Tournament for all schools in the conference to compete in.

On Oct. 12, the Mid-American Madden Championship will begin. More sports video games are being played in Esports, and some hope for leagues within the organization.

Club President Nathan Valdez says there have been a few challenges with starting sports video game teams.

"We have always been super vocal with our sports games in our discord, but the thing is, the people who play sports games are people who follow sports in real life, which means they are typically not playing games all day,” Valdez said.

Valdez would like to see more sports video games played within the Ball State Esports organization.
