Seven-time Academy Award winning sound designer Gary Rydstrom will be featured in Ball State’s Emens Professor Lecture series April 2.
Rydstrom has worked on various movies such as "Saving Private Ryan," "Titanic," "Jurassic Park" and "Terminator 2: Judgement Day."
Rydstrom, born in Chicago, graduated from University of Southern California School of Cinema and Film and began working with Skywalker Sounds in 1983.
In his most recent project, Rydstrom worked as the sound designer and re-recording mixer on "The Post."
Rydstrom will be speak about his movie and sound experiences in the film industry April 2. This lecture titled "Storytelling and Sound: Designing Sound for Movies," will be at 7 p.m. in Letterman Building 125.
