The University Police Department made five arrests over Super Bowl weekend.
According to call logs, UPD conducted a traffic stop in the 1400 block of W. Riverside Avenue shortly before 9 p.m. Feb. 3. Isaiah DeGrasse, of Corydon, was arrested for possession of marijuana, hash oil and hashish and possession of paraphernalia.
At 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, UPD conducted another traffic stop on West Bethel and North McKinley Avenues. Seth Wallace was arrested for operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol level of more than .08.
On Sunday, Muncie Police responded to the area of West Cowing Drive and North Janney Avenue in reference to a battery at 12:15 a.m. University police officers were already on scene when the Muncie Police Department arrived.
According to police reports, the victim, a 19-year-old male of Avon was laying on the ground with a bloody nose and told police he was punched. Witnesses at the scene told officers the victim was at a party when he began to argue with another male.
When friends of the victim tried to pull him back, he was punched by an unknown male.
The victim was transported by Delaware County EMS to IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital to be treated for his injuries. At the hospital, he refused to complete paperwork with the officers.
At this time, no suspects have been listed and no arrests have been made.
At 2:02 a.m., a Yorktown man was given a citation for public intoxication in the 1500 block of West University Ave.
University police were then dispatched to Lafallotte Complex at 2:58 a.m. on Sunday and issued a Goshen man a citation for illegal consumption of an alcoholic beverage.
UPD also responded to five narcotics calls in the university's residence halls over the weekend, according to call logs.
