Brutally Honest: Mr. President is at it again. Shocker.

President Trump always takes to Twitter to express his extreme dismay with any situation, and this impeachment inquiry makes this rather apparent. This is not how any elected official, let alone the president, should act. It proves how childish, uninformed and unprofessional he really is.

Artful Ruckus: Jeff Bezos isn’t the bad guy

Local businesses and chains are closing, and a lot of the blame is aimed at one company: Amazon. Big chain retailers like Macy's and even Walmart are closing hundreds of stores because they just can’t compete. Just because these businesses are shutting down, it does not mean Amazon will take over the world. But even if it did, I don’t think that’d be bad because Amazon provides so much to its customers.

Kennedi’s Kaleidoscope: The future is vegan … sorta

I do not care that you are not a vegan. When I tell you I am vegan, I am not telling you because I want to convert you or force my dietary decision onto you. Frankly, I do not care if you eat meat. It’s the amount of meat that bothers me, and honestly, it should bother you too.

Bold Type: On butterflies

“Write about saving the monarchs,” Auntie Mar says every time I ask her for a story idea. This time, I decided to listen to her.

Blake’s Beats: Muncie happy places

I’d like to highlight some of the places here in Muncie that have become beacons of hope and cliched “Happy Places” for me. Check them out! See what they do for you, maybe they’ll become your happy place too.

Open-Minded: I am not ashamed.

My anxiety is not a vulnerability to me but instead a way for me to educate others about mental illnesses and show they are nothing to be ashamed of.

Jimbo-laya: Who feels homesick already? Not me.

Going away to college can be a challenge for a lot of people for any number of reasons.I thought within the first week I got here I would feel homesick. I thought I would be brooding, calling my mom constantly and in such a slump. But to my surprise, I’m having a great time so far. I know I’ll feel homesick at some point, and it could sneak up on me at any moment, but I feel much more confident in my situation here than I feel other people are.

Abstraction: Undecided students need support

As an undecided student, heading face first into my first year of college, I have realized one thing: I care about what people around me think. That goes for the adults who’ve encouraged me, the peers who’ve gotten to know me, the strangers who may eventually know me and everyone in between.

Blake’s Beats: Why I’m regretfully excited about the NFL season

Sundays used to be a holy day. The living room was my church, and I prayed with conviction to the altar of National Football League.  I would stroll into the old RCA Dome with my grandfather, knowing nothing else other than I was happy if the team with blue horseshoes on their helmets won, and I was so unreasonably sad if they lost.   I was blissfully ignorant to the carnage happening in front of me, and behind the scenes too.

Brutally Honest: Petty energy

The 2020 presidential race is already underway, with the third Democrat debate Thursday night. This was the first time all 10 candidates were on the same stage, and this was something many people, including myself, were happy to see. Having two different nights for all the candidates was exhausting and confusing. Going in, I hoped to hear more about gun control regulations and medicare. While immediately off the bat, Medicare was brought up, gun control was only briefly mentioned. Not only that, all I felt I got out of last nights’ debate was a lot pettiness.
