Day three of the Daily News Sports team’s trip to Cleveland saw the start of the Men’s Mid-American Conference (MAC) Tournament. First, the day began with a split breakfast run. One group ate at Starbucks, while the others went to a unique, two-story McDonalds.

After breakfast, the crew traveled to Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse to cover Ball State Men’s Basketball’s first round matchup against Ohio, which saw a Ball State defeat. Then, the students walked through downtown Cleveland to find a spot to eat dinner.

Barrío Gateway, a taco bar, was the destination. Many members of the group believe it to be not only the best spot on the trip so far, but the best tacos they’ve ever had. Before heading back to the hotel, the crew walked around the outside of Progressive Field gazing at the infrastructure.

Once back at the hotel, the seven unwinded with a game of euchre and prepared for another day of coverage Friday. Follow up for day four social and online coverage throughout the day March 10.
