MUNCIE, Ind.- National Voter Registration day is tomorrow and to honor it, The Student Government Association (SGA) has partnered with the Ball State student Republicans, student Democrats and The Women in Politics group to hold a national voter registration drive. SGA’s goal is to get students ready for the upcoming midterm and all students are welcome to register.

Head of Voter Registration for SGA Monet Lindstrand hopes to make a large impact from tomorrow's event and mean more than just filling out a ballet. Lindstrand said “The Student Government Association will be partnering with a few organizations on campus. We've reached out to Ball State Democrats, Ball State Republicans, and the Women in Politics group to get everyone together and table.”

The organizations will be speaking at these tables in an effort to educate about voting and its impact. They will be tabeling at different places and times across campus to get as many students registered to vote as possible.

“We’re going to be tabeling from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. in Tally and then 12-3 p.m. in the Atrium and while we’re doing that, we’re going to be talking about why you should register to vote and how to register to vote in both Indiana, as well as out of state, and specifically the importance of college students to get out and vote,” Lindstrand said.

The voter registration drive will be tomorrow, Sept. 20 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the scramble light and university green.
