In its first match in 14 days, Ball State Men’s Volleyball (12-2, 5-1 MIVA) jumped back into competition against non-conference opponent New Jersey Institute of Technology (9-6, 4-2 EIVA) March 11.

Three of the four sets went to extra points, but the Cardinals won in four sets by scores of 26-24, 25-22, 28-30 and 36-34 respectively.

Senior middle blocker Felix Egharevba led Ball State with a career-high 12 blocks while adding five kills to his stat sheet.

In attack, Ball State was flowing as graduate student opposite hitter Angelos Mandilaris, senior outside attacker Kaleb Jenness and freshman middle blocker Vanis Buckholz combined for 49 kills. Graduate student setter Quinn Isaacson called the offense with 50 assists.

After their two-week hiatus, the Cardinals competes in four matches over the next eight days, including back-to-back matches against Midwest Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (MIVA)  rivals Ohio State (9-7, 3-3 MIVA) March 16 and March 19. 

Ball State remains on the road for its next match, facing off against Princeton (5-10, 4-5 EIVA) March 12 at 5 p.m.
