According to a campus-wide emergency email sent out a little before 1:30 a.m. Sunday by Ball State's University Police Department (UPD), there were reports of a possible stabbing incident on Neely Avenue.
UPD's email states it is investigating reports of a stabbing in the 1100 block of West Neely Ave. It advised people to stay clear of the area until further notice.
At around 3:30 a.m., UPD advised there was no ongoing threat to campus and that people could resume normal activities in the area.
In an email response sent Tuesday, a Ball State spokesperson said the victim in the incident received a minor laceration to the leg and went to the hospital prior to UPD's arrival on the scene.
