Those hoping to pick up a smoothie or juice at the Atrium's Jamba Juice will have to wait for at least a week.
According to an email from DJ Cleveland, Ball State Dining marketing and communications specialist, the Jamba Juice will be closed until April 1 because of an "unforeseen freezer hardware malfunction" on Sunday which led to "loss of product and necessitating repairs."
"After assessing the situation, we at Ball State Dining felt it prudent to suspend operations while we make repairs and replenish product in order to ensure the utmost service for our guests," Cleveland said.
Cleveland said because of the monitoring and temperature systems in the freezers, dining was alerted of the issue and actions were taken before more damage was done.
He said alarms in the Art and Journalism building went off on Sunday after the malfunction set off sprinklers in the freezer. There were no injuries related to this situation.
If more delays are anticipated, dining will inform the campus community.
