Franko House and Ryan Weber, two former Ball State men's basketball players, signed deals to play professional basketball in Europe.
House signed a contact with Landstede Basketbal in the Dutch Basketball League after spending the offseason trying to make the transition into professional football with the Chicago Bears.
The original plan for House, his wife Morgan Jantzi and their son Carter was to find somewhere to play professionally.
In the middle of his senior season, Brian Thornton told The Daily News that "[House] is going to be successful because he's a hard worker, he has a good heart and he's going to have opportunities to play professionally."

House finished his career at Ball State as a two-time All-MAC selection and was on the MAC All-Defensive Team during his senior season, starting 113 out of 129 games in his college career.
Weber, on the other hand, signed a professional contract with AS Cherbourg Basket in France, a team that is already in the middle of its preseason. In a recent exhibition game, he scored 19 points according to a Ball State press release.
Weber made 137 three-pointers, 10th most in program history, in his two-year career at Ball State.
Both players scored more than 1,000 points in their respected careers and were paramount in Ball State's success in recent years.
